Black Lesbian Fights Chubby Bully Black Straight Girl
Homophobia in the house in Camden, N.J. as a chubby ghetto girl can't stand the fact that a black lesbian with a bad weave is checkin' her ass out at home. Naturally, there is total disregard for the little kids present and a massive street fight ensues finishing on top of a stranger's car hood. Class acts all the way around here. But hey...the chubby rat was begging for the results...right?

Georgia woman arrested after she assaults a pregnant black soldier
A72-year-old woman has been arrested after she was caught on camera assaulting two female soldiers, including a pregnant one.Shocking video shows the altercation between Judy Tucker and the two unidentified soldiers on Saturday night at a Cheddars restaurant in Macon, Georgia. The woman who posted the now-viral video, LaKeycia Ward, says the altercation began when Tucker and her son became angry after the soldiers got in their way as they were trying to park in a handicapped spot.Ward and other witnesses claim Tucker's son then followed the soldiers inside and began verbally abusing them, calling them 'gay black b***hes' and shouting 'does the military let lesbians serve?' Shortly after approaching the soldiers Tucker is seen on video getting upset when one of them pulls out her phone to record the interaction.'Put that phone down! You do not have the right to take a picture of me!' Tucker yells as both she and her son try grabbing the phone from one of the soldiers.'First of all, look at me! I'm pregnant! Look at me - You're pushing a pregnant lady!' the soldier says.'Oh really? By her?' replies Tucker's son.Tucker then adds: 'Well, my husband is handicapped.' Her husband doesn't appear to be present.People in the restaurant then started separating Tucker, her son Robbie and her daughter Angie from the soldiers, before the trio was kicked out, according to Hollywood Unlocked.Additional footage taken outside the establishment shows Tucker crying as she gets arrested.Tucker was arrested on simple battery charges and booked into Bibb County Jail.Daughter Angie can be heard telling a cop that she had '10 big black guys on her' as her mom is taken away.'We saw the whole thing,' an officer replies.Witnesses say videos of the altercation were instrumental in the arrest because Tucker and her family were claiming they were the ones who were attacked. She has since been released on bail.Tucker has an art restoration business and the Facebook page for it has been inundated with comments from people who are appalled by her actions before her arrest.'How dare you abuse and harass our soldiers in uniform!!! Especially a pregnant one.You and your son have absolutely no class and should be utterly ashamed of yourselves,' said one comment.Another user added: 'Thank you for showing your hate.I'm sure you will lose customers for this and your business will soon close .I'm glad you we're arrested for being disrespectful and also being a racist to the people who serve and provide protection for this country.

Black Feminism & the Movement for Black Lives: Barbara Smith, Reina Gossett, Charlene Carruthers
Black Feminism remains a foundational theory and practice guiding social justice movements for Black lives. On Thursday, Jan 21 of Creating Change our Opening Plenary featured a panel with Charlene Carruthers, Reina Gossett and Barbara Smith. Black Feminism challenges us to act on the inextricable connections of sexism, class oppression, racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia. As the contemporary Movement for Black Lives has invigorated resistance to racism and structural violence, this panel reflects on ways that Black Feminism shapes and informs the current struggles and successes. Barbara Smith, beginning in the 1970s, has broken new ground as a black feminist, lesbian, activist, author, publisher, and elected official. Barbara co-founded the Combahee River Collective in 1974. The organization wrote the Combahee River Collective Statement that is one of the earliest explorations of the intersection of multiple oppressions, including racism and heterosexism, critiquing both sexual oppression in the black community and racism within the wider feminist movement. Barbara Smith founded Kitchen Table: Women of Color Press, publisher of numerous pivotal works by feminists of color. Barbara served two terms on the Albany (NY) Common Council and currently works in the City of Albany Mayor’s Office spearheading initiatives that address economic, racial, and social inequality. Reina Gossett is an activist, writer, and artist and the 2014-2016 Activist-In-Residence at Barnard College’s Center for Research on Women. She served as membership director at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, lifting the voices and power of trans and gender non-conforming people. Reina was awarded the George Soros Justice Advocacy Fellowship by the Open Society Foundation to work with LGBT people navigating criminalization. During her fellowship she partnered with Critical Resistance to curtail the prison industrial complex by organizing low income LGBTGNC New Yorkers in a campaign that successfully stopped construction of a new jail in the Bronx. Reina co-wrote and co-directed the new film Happy Birthday, Marsha!, highlighting the life of legendary transgender artist and activist, Marsha P. Johnson. Charlene Carruthers is a Black, queer, feminist community organizer and writer with over ten years of experience in racial justice, feminist and youth leadership development movement work. She currently serves as the national director of the Black Youth Project 100 (BYP100), an activist member-led organization of Black 18-35 year olds dedicated to creating justice and freedom for all Black people. With a focus on intersectional liberation, Charlene’s organizing spans a broad range of topics. She currently serves as a board member of SisterSong, a reproductive justice organization that promotes solidarity among women of color, as well as being a member of a historic 2015 delegation of young activists to Palestine, building solidarity between Black and Palestinian liberation movements.

Queer Black Trouble (Cheryl Clarke's Kessler Lecture 2013)
"Queer Black Trouble: In Life, Literature, and the Age of Obama" Kessler Award Ceremony: Cheryl Clarke, 2013 Kessler Award Recipient A CLAGS event at the Proshansky Auditorium, The Graduate Center, CUNY, New York City, December 6, 2013. The Kessler Award is given to a scholar who has, over a number of years, produced a substantive body of work that has had a significant influence of the field of GLBTQ Studies. For more information about CLAGS, see our website: http://www.clags.org. The 2013 awardee was prominent poet, essayist, and educator Cheryl Clarke, long time Dean of Students at Rutgers University and founding director of the Office of Diverse Community Affairs and Lesbian/Gay Concerns (renamed Office of Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities). The Kessler Awards ceremony included a lecture by the recipient, as well as keynotes given by distinguished guest speaker Elizabeth Lorde-Rollins. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cheryl Clarke is the author of four books of poetry, "Narratives: poems in the tradition of black women" (1982), "Living as a Lesbian" (1986), which has been reprinted this year by Sinister Wisdom and Midsummer Night Presses and will be on sale, "Humid Pitch" (1989), "Experimental Love" (1993), the critical study, "After Mecca: Women Poets and the Black Arts Movement" (Rutgers Press, 2005), and "The Days of Good Looks: Prose and Poetry 1980-2005" (Carroll and Graf, 2006). With Steven G. Fullwood, she co-edited "To Be Left With the Body' for AIDS Project Los Angeles in 2008. Though she has not published a new collection of poetry since 1993, not for lack of trying, she continues to write poetry and essays. She has written a chapbook, entitled "By My Precise Haircut", which was a finalist in the 2013 Bright Hill Press Chapbook Contest in Treadwell, N.Y. Though she has written a number of essays over the years relevant to the black queer community, "Lesbianism: an act of resistance," which first appeared in the iconic "This Bridge Called My Back: Writings By Radical Women of Color" (Anzaldua and Moraga, eds., 1982) and "The Failure to Transform: Homophobia in the Black Community," which was published in the equally iconic "Home Girls: A Black Feminist Anthology" (Smith, ed., 1984) remain favorites. She considers herself a scholar of Audre Lorde's poetry and continues to write about the impact of Lorde's poetry. She recently wrote an introduction to "G.R.I.T.S., An Anthology of Writing by Southern Black Lesbians" (Williams, ed., Media Arts Project, 2013). Her article, "By Its Absence: Literature and Social Justice Consciousness" will appear in "The Handbook of Social Justice" (Reisch, ed., Routledge, 2014). She was the founding director of the Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities from 1992-2009 and Dean of Students for the Livingston Campus from 2009 until she finally retired on July 1, after 41 years of studying, teaching, and administration at Rutgers. Black Queer Troublemakers, Darnell Moore, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Steven G. Fullwood, and Mecca J. Sullivan and a host of other intergenerational Black Queer Troublemakers convened "Cheryl Clarke: A Retrofuturespective," which celebrated her writing. She is co-owner with Barbara Balliet, her partner of 22 years, of Blenheim Hill Books in Hobart, N.Y., the Book Village of the Catskills. She also lives in Jersey City. She graduated from Howard University in 1969 and received a Ph.D. in English from Rutgers in 2000. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read more about this event and other CLAGS events on the website: http://www.clags.org. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cheryl Clarke is introduced by Elizabeth Lorde-Rollins, a physician, a poet, and the daughter of Audre Lorde (1934-92), the author of nine collections of poetry, including "Cables to Rage" (1970). Her first poems were published in Langston Hughes's "New Negro Poets USA" (1962), and her collected poems were published in 1997. She wrote "as a Black woman, a mother, a daughter, a Lesbian, a feminist, a visionary; poems of elemental wildness and healing, nightmare and lucidity" (Adrienne Rich).
