3 Easy Ways to Free Hard Disk Space on Windows [Automatically Full Drive C: SOLVED]

06:47
In this video I show three easy ways to free-up some disk space on your C-drive or hard drive on Windows without losing valuable data. This would also solve the problem of automatically full C drive, it will work for Windows 7, 8, and 10 and even if you’re not running out of disk space yet, is recommended you perform these processes every once in a while. Method 1 Clear out cached windows updates. To do this you go to your computer, click on this PC, from there go to your drive C, click on windows folder, then search for a folder named software distribution. Open the folder and select all the contents, right-click and delete, then go and empty your recycle bin. Method 2 Perform a disk clean up, to do that you go to your search and type “disk cleanup”, click on the disk cleanup icon from the search result. It will ask you to select the drive you want to clean up, I will leave it as C:, then click ok and the disk clean-up utility will run. Maybe you have to go through few iterations to recover all your disk space. Method 3 Use the size:gigantic command on your windows to reveal all files larger than 128MB. To do that, go to your computer and open your C drive, then click the mouse in the Search text box in the upper-right corner of the window. Type size:gigantic Then wait for window to list out all your files larger than 128MB, which is where Microsoft believes the threshold of gigantic to begin. After listing these files, you can now see which files are taking the most space, and see if they are files you no longer need. Select them and delete. At the end of the process I was able to recover over 40GB of disk space from these three methods. [SOLVED] USB Windows 7 Installation | A Required CD-DVD Drive Device Driver is Missing (2018)

08:23
UPDATE: Here is a NEW link to download Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHsqjK7CZky9tnq0a0L7avPZxt5EX9e-/view?usp=sharing Download and extract, then follow the same procedure shown in the video. Subscribe to EasyTechs: https://goo.gl/dDSBNL Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/easytechs In this video I we will see how to fix the problem of missing USB 3.0 driver during windows 7 installation. This problem is shown by the message “A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now”. The primary reason for this error is that the USB controller chip on the laptop is not recognized by Windows 7, so Windows 7 is unable to reach or access the computer hard disk because the USB lacks the required driver which is the USB 3.0 driver. This problem is actually unique to Windows 7, if you try a similar installation process on the same PC with Windows 10 from a USB stick, you won’t encounter this error. Also if you have the option of installing using a Windows 7 DVD, then you should get past this error. The idea of this solution is to install the required USB driver in order to enable Windows 7 gain access to the PC hard drive and proceed with the installation. Here I’ve simplified the driver installation process into two basic steps; Step 1: Download the Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHsqjK7CZky9tnq0a0L7avPZxt5EX9e-/view Step 2: Installing the USB driver. To do that you insert your bootable USB with the Windows 7 installation, then go to the folder where we saved the downloaded file and extract the zipped folder. After the extraction you should have a folder named “WindowsImage Tool”. Open the folder, you should see this WindowsImageTool application, run the application (you don’t have to worry about the files you have saved on your USB device, the Windows image tool will not override or delete your files). Leave the source path as “None-Add USB Drivers” then in the destination path, select the USB that contains your Windows 7 installation files. Here the “Add USB drivers to an offline Windows 7 image” is selected by default, now select the Add NVMe drivers option to an offline Windows 7 image as well, automatically the “Add packages to an offline Windows 7” is also selected. So you should have all three options checked. Then click on start to begin the installation process. An alternative solution is to try to change the USB port where you attached your bootable Windows USB stick, certain computers come with the required USB driver installed in only one of the USB ports, so you might try changing your USB port to see if it works for you. Another alternative is to visit your manufacturer support page and download the USB 3.0 driver, and install it during the Windows 7 installation.

HDD + SSD: Replacing Your DVD/Optical Drive With an SSD or HDD (2018)

06:31
In this video I demonstrate how to combine HDD and SSD using an optical drive bay. You can also use this to expand on your storage capacity by replacing your optical drive with an additional 2.5” storage drive. The steps are basically the same in both cases. Here I simplified the process into three basic steps: 1. The software transfer, (Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnHcJrNc7Og ) 2. The hardware transfers, and 3. The Configurations. The software transfer involves the copying of your operating system, applications, personal files and folders, and also system settings to your new hard drive. The hardware transfer is the actual physical replacement of the optical drive with the additional drive. And the final step which is the configuration, involves setting up your PC to use the two drives the way you want it. Before you purchase a hard drive caddy, first remove your optical drive and measure the thickness as shown in the video. You can use a ruler or any measurement device you have. You can also check your laptop spec sheet and see if is written there. There are two sizes: 12.7mm Hard Drive Caddy: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FUniversal-12-7mm-SATA-2nd-SSD-HDD-Hard-Drive-Caddy-for-DVD-ROM-CD-Optical-Bay%2F162418263182%3Fepid%3D2175538081%26hash%3Ditem25d0e2048e%3Ag%3ActkAAOSw6YtZO50J&campid=5338263058&toolid=20008 9.5mm Hard Drive Caddy: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F2-5-9-5mm-Universal-2nd-SATA-HDD-SSD-Hard-Drive-Caddy-For-CD-DVD-ROM-Optical-Bay%2F302536357567%3Fhash%3Ditem46709276bf%3Ag%3ArcIAAOSw1JVaEpQJ&campid=5338263058&toolid=20008 If you’re yet to transfer your Operating system, applications and files to your SSD, then you should follow the steps I showed in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnHcJrNc7Og), on How to Upgrade Laptop Hard Drive To SSD Without Reinstalling Windows and without loosing your files and folders. How to Remove Linux (Ubuntu) From Dual Boot in Windows 10 (2018)

08:21
In this video I will be demonstrating how you can remove Ubuntu from your PC and revert to running only Windows again without losing your data or applications. This video would guide you on how to fully remove ubuntu from your Windows PC, save some time on booting by not having to go through the grub terminal each time to choose Windows from the list, and of course you will be able to recover back the disk space you allocated to ubuntu or whichever linux distribution you installed. There are two parts to it: 1. Removing the Linux operating system which in my case is Ubuntu, this will remove all system files as well as any data you may have on Ubuntu, so you should back up any files you have on Ubuntu before proceeding with this process. 2. Removing the grub bootloader, this is the initial screen that shows up each time you bootup, from where you choose which of the two operating systems you want to run, now you need to remove that as well. It really doesn’t matter which you do first. This video shows how to fix the problem of slow boot-up with windows 10. This is mostly observed after upgrading from windows 7 or windows 8/8.1 to windows 10, it could also happen for various other reasons including system updates. Certain laptop models are also more prone to this problem than others. For instance, HP Pavilion DV6 has been reported to frequently have this problem after upgrading to windows 10. The processes involved in this fix are as follows: 1. Fix the problem of multi-GPU CrossFire configuration by changing the value of the EnableULPS configuration file to 0. 2. Turn off processes with high start-up impacts. 3. Disable the fast start-up utility function. 4. Enable the fast start-up again after restarting your computer. How to Still Upgrade From Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10 For Free in 2018

11:53
Link to Windows 10 upgrade https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10 In this video I demonstrate how you can still upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 for free without the need to buy any licenses or product keys from Microsoft or some other third party resellers. Following the steps accordingly is crucial to avoid ending up with an unlicensed Windows 10. 1. Check that your PC meets the minimum systems requirements for running Windows 10. 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit and a Hard disk space of 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS You are likely good to go on the Graphics card and display requirements because that hasn’t really changed from previous edition of Windows. However for the processor, RAM and Hard disk space, I will recommend that you double up on these requirements for effective running of Windows 10. So at least a 1.7 GHz processor, 2 gigabyte (GB) of RAM for 32-bit or 4 GB for 64-bit, and 20 gigabyte hard disk space for 32-bit OS and 30 GB for 64-bit. 2. Check that you have a licensed Windows 7 or 8.1, to do that simply go to your computer folder, and click on system properties. Then scroll down to where it says Windows activation. Now if for some reasons it still says activate windows now with certain number of day to activate, then you won’t be getting an activated Windows 10 at the end of the process. Here you should ensure it says, Windows is activated and that you can see this genuine Microsoft icon on the right end of the screen. 3. Ensure your laptop is connected to the internet at least once after you installed your Windows 7 or 8.1. 4. Download the Windows 10 media creation tool from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/fi-fi/software-download/windows10 then run and follow the rest of the instructions in the video to complete the process. 4 Ways to Free Hard Disk Space on Windows [Fix Automatically Full Drive C]

09:32
In this video, I demonstrate four simple ways to free up disk space on your C drive without loosing valuable data. This would also solve the problem of your C drive getting full automatically, or you’re getting a warning that you’re running out of disk space. These 4 methods will work on virtually any version of Windows. Even if you’re not running out of disk space yet, is advisable that you perform these processes every once in a while, maybe after a couple of months or half a year depending on how you use your PC. The forth method is mainly for those who work with lots of videos and other media files, if you use some video editing software like premier pro or any of such applications, then the fourth method could come in really handy in saving your disk space. Here are the methods covered in this video: 1. To clear up cached windows updates. 2. Running the disk cleanup utility tool. 3. Use “size:gigantic” command to reveal files larger than 128MB in size. 4. The last approach for this tutorial would be to clean up adobe media cache files, these are temporary files adobe stores when you edit media files. How to Fix Mouse and Touchpad Problems in Windows 10, 8.1, 7 – (3 Fixes) [2018]

06:13
This video shows 3 possible ways to fix different problems you may be having with your mouse or touchpad in Windows 10, 8, 8.1, or 7. Such problems may include mouse or touchpad not working at all, or the pointer is unusually slow or overly fast or the pointer keeps dancing around the screen in a haphazard fashion. Mice and touchpads are generally designed to configure automatically once they’re attached to a PC, so usually you wouldn’t need to manually download and install any drivers to get them working, so faults usually come from corrupted drivers, liquid spills, or some other mechanical failures. - For the issue of speed, you may need to make some adjustments to the pointer setting to suit your preference. - For the issue of the dancing mouse pointer, if is the first time you’re experiencing the problem, then a simple restart might fix it, but if it continues, then you might need to reinstall the mouse drivers. - For the issue of the mouse or touchpad not working at all, you either need to install the mouse drivers or update the already installed drivers. Windows 7 Fixes: A Required CD-DVD Driver is Missing (USB Windows 7 Installation Error) (2018)

06:47
UPDATE: Download the Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool from here (New Link): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHsqjK7CZky9tnq0a0L7avPZxt5EX9e-/view?usp=sharing This video shows how to fix the problem of missing USB 3.0 driver during windows 7 installation. The error message says “A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now”. This happens because the USB controller chip on the laptop is not recognized by Windows 7, so Windows 7 is unable to reach or access the computer hard disk because the USB lacks the required driver which is the USB 3.0 driver. Here I’ve simplified the driver installation process into two basic steps; Step 1: Download the Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHsqjK7CZky9tnq0a0L7avPZxt5EX9e-/view . Step 2: Extract and install the USB driver using the Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool as shown in the video. How To Fix Windows 10 Start-Up Problems – Automatic Repair Loop, Infinite Boot, Blackscreen [2018]

09:26
In this tutorial, I will be showing you three possible ways to fix the problem of Automatic Repair Loop, infinite booting or some other start-up problems you might be experiencing with Windows 10. This could happen after Windows has installed certain updates that it finds incompatible with the software distribution or after you make certain changes to your system settings or certain applications you have installed on your PC. If you’re able to figure out the event that led to this problem, then you wouldn’t need to try all three methods, you could simply pick the method that is more likely to solve your problem and implement it. Method 1: Login to safe mode and uninstall recently installed applications Method 2: Use the registry backup command called regback. This command replaces your registry configuration with the last known good configuration you have on your PC, so basically changing your registry configuration to the configuration of your most recent successful boot up. Method 3: Using the start-up repair tool. If all three fixes fail, then you can consider running a system restore, for that you will need to make a bootable USB with Windows 10 installation files, I have included that in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Nm1OE5ciU LINKS Subscribe to EasyTechs: https://goo.gl/dDSBNL If you would like to support us at EasyTechs, please feel free to donate to our patreon page on this link: https://www.patreon.com/easytechs Your donations are very much appreciated and would go a long way in growing the channel. Windows 10 - How To Reset Your Computer to Factory Settings (2018) Alternative to Formatting

10:19
Subscribe to Easytechs: https://goo.gl/dDSBNL How to Upgrade from Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10 for Free (2018): https://youtu.be/UO-bf_sLIU8 This video shows how to reset your Windows 10 back to default factory settings. This can serve as a quick and easy way to solve several issues you may be having with your Windows 10, be it that your PC is unusually slow for no obvious reasons, is infected by viruses, you’re running out of storage space even though you haven’t saved any big files to your PC or you just get other signs that your PC is not functioning as it should. From your desktop environment, go to search and type “Reset This PC” then click on Reset This PC from the search results, it should take you to your settings, where you see this Recovery Page, Under reset this PC, click on get started. Then you should see these two options, Keep my files or remove everything. The "keep my files" option allows you to keep your personal files like your photos, music, videos, word files, and PDF documents after the reset process, but will delete your applications and settings. The second option is to remove everything, of course this will completely remove everything from your PC, leaving you a renewed copy of Windows 10. Before using this option, remember to back-up your files and save your software licenses. This option is more likely to fix most of the problems you may be having with your Windows 10, simply because it removes everything, so whether the malfunctioning is coming from a corrupt file or from a corrupt application, this option will fix both problems.

UEFI Boot | How to Boot From USB Flash Drive (USB Device Not Listed in Boot Order : Solved) 2018

03:26
In this video I will be showing you how to change your BIOS settings to boot from a USB device if for some reasons you do not see your USB device in the list of possible boot devices, this is a common problem in the more recent pavilion series of Hp laptops. To solve this problem, go to your BIOS using the required function key or ESC key, go to the system configuration tab and move down to boot options and hit enter. Then go to legacy support and change it to “enabled”. Then using your arrow key go down to your USB device under the UEFI boot order and use the required function key to move the USB device to the top of the boot order, then use the F10 Key to save an exit. Now you may see this DOS page asking you to enter a certain code and hit the enter key to complete the process, after that the Windows installation will start loading. [Solved] Windows Failed to Start A Recent Hardware or Software Change Might Be The Cause (2018)

09:24
In this tutorial, I demonstrate two possible ways to fix this Windows startup error that says Windows failed to start, a recent hardware or software changes might be the cause, with the error code 0xc00000f or 0xc0000225. Just as the error message suggests, this could be caused by either a hardware or software change on your computer. On the hardware side, it could be that the disk with your Windows files or your operating system, for some reason is inaccessible to the boot manager. So maybe the disk got loose from the disk connector or in the worst-case scenario the disk is failing. On the software side it could be that certain applications or malware has managed to change the path to your Windows boot media, and as such the boot manager is unable to locate the boot files during startup. The first solution in this tutorial is for situations where this error is due to hardware changes while the second solution will address the possibility of a software change leading to this error. If you’re unsure what could be causing this error in your case, then I recommend that you start off with the first solution and if the error continues, then you can proceed with the second one. 1. This first solution is on the hardware side, so the first thing you want to do it to check that your C drive or the disk drive where you have your operating system, is properly attached to the connector on your computer. For that your need to physically open the hard drive bay, then check that the drive is properly attached. You can detach and reattach it firmly to ensure is in proper contact. Then go into your BIOS and check that the disk is added to your boot devices and that is properly positioned in the boot priority. 2. The second solution is for situation where certain application or malware changes the path variables on your boot manger, hence making it unable to locate your Windows boot files during startup. For this solution I will be using the bootrec tool to try to locate any windows installations on all disks attached to your computer and then add them back to the boot list so the boot manager can locate them during startup. How to Enable Ultimate Performance Mode In Windows 10 (Enhance Gaming)

07:45
In this tutorial I demonstrate how to activate the new Windows 10 Ultimate performance power plan on your laptop or PC. This feature was added to the latest Windows 10 April updates that was recently released. It doesn’t matter if you’re running the home or Pro edition of Windows 10. This will work equally in both cases. I also demonstrate how you can deactivate this feature if for some reasons you find it unsuitable for your PC or laptop. So first, the Ultimate performance power plan only works with the latest Windows 10 April updates, so if you want to experiment with this feature and a bunch of other new features that came with this update, then of course you need to first get the update on your PC. You can run winver command to ensure it says version 1803. First open the command prompt as an administrator. For Ultimate Performance: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61 For High Performance: powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c For Power Saver: powercfg -duplicatescheme a1841308-3541-4fab-bc81-f71556f20b4a The ultimate performance option as Microsoft noted in a blog goes further to eliminate micro-latencies associated with fine grained power management techniques, so basically making for faster performance. Although I’m not sure how much of a difference that would make, but I think this would be more obvious for higher end PCs and laptops than for average user PCs. And of course whatever improvement in performance you experience through these settings would come at an additional cost of power and processing resources, so if you are more conservative about your battery or power, and wouldn’t want your processor or graphics card to run high, then you might be better of with the balanced or high performance options. You can also deactivate this setting easily as shown in the end of the video. How to Install Windows 10 From a USB Flash Drive | Step by Step + Free Activation (2018)

10:51
Subscribe to Easytechs: https://goo.gl/dDSBNL How to Upgrade from Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10 for Free (2017): https://youtu.be/UO-bf_sLIU8 Microsoft Window 10 Media Creation Tool: https://www.microsoft.com/fi-fi/software-download/windows10 Hello Everyone, In this video we will see how to install Windows 10 offline using a USB flash stick. This would work for you weather you’re upgrading from a previous version of Windows or making a fresh installation on a formatted PC. And if you don’t have a Windows 10 product key or license and you’re running a previous version of the Windows such as Windows 7 or 8.1, then follow the instructions carefully to obtain a fully activated Windows 10 for free. The first step is to create our Windows 10 USB installation media using Microsoft Windows media creation tool, which is basically copying the installation files to the USB and configuring it to be bootable. Then the second step is to install Windows 10 offline using this USB flash drive we created. There are two possible ways to perform the offline installation for Windows 10, one way is to install from your Windows environment, that is from a running windows, it could be Windows 7 or 8, another way is to install from your BIOS where you choose to boot from the installation media we just created. The process is basically the same for both ways. If you don’t have Windows 10 license and you’re running a previous version of Windows like Windows 7 or 8.1, you need to ensure that your PC has been connected to the internet at least once since after it was activated, this is important for the free activation of Windows 10, however you don’t need to be connected to the internet during the upgrade process. After the upgrade, when you try to verify the activation status of your Windows 10, it says unable to reach windows activation servers, and that is because we have not connected to the internet during and after the upgrade process, now to activate our windows, we simply turn on our internet connection and check the activation status again.

How to Update Windows 10 to Latest Version Without Losing Files and Applications (2018)

05:19
In this tutorial I will be demonstrating how to upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10 when you already have Windows 10 installed and running on your PC, and without losing you files and applications. One possible way to this is by running your regular Windows systems updates by using the “Check for updates”, tool in Windows. Another more reassuring way to check that you have the latest version of windows 10 is by using the Microsoft Windows Update tool: https://www.microsoft.com/fi-fi/software-download/windows10 . If you already have Windows 10 running on your PC, then you can use the update now tool which allows you to only update the Windows 10 you already have running on your PC, but will not make a new windows installation if for instance you’re running window 7 or 8.1. To upgrade from these versions of Windows, you will need to use the media creation tool, it allows you to either install a fresh copy of Windows 10 which of course will come with the latest updates or to create a Windows 10 installation media on a USB or some other storage device. So if you already have Windows 10, but you’re not sure if you have the latest version, then you want to click on update now, and use the update assistant tool to check for updates, and if you already have the latest version of Windows 10 running on your PC, then you will see this message which says “Thanks for updating to the latest version of Windows 10”, and if not then you will see a window that says update to the latest version of Windows 10, then you want to click on update now and follow the rest of the instructions in the video to complete the update. How To Fix Windows 10 Startup Problems: Your PC Ran Into a Problem and Needs to Restart (2018)

07:26
In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating three possible ways to fix the Windows 10 Startup error that says “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you”. Usually this error comes with a stop code 0xc000021a or an error code that says INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE or CRITICAL PROCESS DIED. You could see this error pop up during system start-up but it could also happen during normal use. There are several possible reasons for this problem, ranging from software issues like registry changes or incompatible drivers, to hardware issues like loose hard disk connector or some other issues with a hardware component you have attached to your PC. In any case following the suggestions in this video should help you resolve this error and get your PC working fine again. 1. If you start experiencing this error after your laptop has gone through some major vibrations, either in transit or during other physical activities, or some minor fall, then chances are your hard disk connector might have gotten loose, so you might want to check that first before going through the other suggestions in this video, especially if your error comes with the code that says INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. 2. If your error comes with the stop code 0xc000021a then you should use the windows start-up repair tool to try to fix this problem automatically. For that you will need a bootable USB with windows 10 installation files, if you haven’t made one already, you can follow the procedures I showed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH93h3CEeH0&t=44s to do that. 3. The third approach would be to use the registry backup command called regback. Regback replaces your registry configuration with the configuration of your most recent successful boot up. Here are the commands you need: a. cd \windows\system32\config b. MD backup c. copy *.* backup d. CD regback e. copy *.* .. f. exit LINKS Subscribe to EasyTechs: https://goo.gl/dDSBNL If you would like to support us at EasyTechs, please feel free to donate to our patreon page on this link: https://www.patreon.com/easytechs Your donations are very much appreciated and would go a long way in growing the channel. [Updated] USB Windows 7 Installation | A Required CD-DVD Drive Device Driver is Missing – 2018

07:15
Download Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHsqjK7CZky9tnq0a0L7avPZxt5EX9e-/view?usp=sharing This video shows how to fix the problem of missing USB 3.0 driver during windows 7 installation. Here I’ve simplified the driver installation process into two basic steps; Step 1: Download the Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHsqjK7CZky9tnq0a0L7avPZxt5EX9e-/view?usp=sharing Step 2: Extract and install the USB driver using the Gigabyte's Windows 7 USB Installation Tool as shown in the video. 09:09
How to Make a Bootable USB with Windows 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH93h3CEeH0 In this tutorial I demonstrate three possible ways to fix the Blue Screen of Death Error in Windows 10. These three methods correspond to three of the possible causes of this error. The error message says Recovery, Your PC or Device needs to be repaired, a required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed, and the error code is 0xc000000f. 1. Verify that the drive where you have your Windows operating system is properly connected and accessible. Especially if you’re using multiple storage drives, you should ensure that all the drives present at the time you installed windows are all properly connected and accessible. 2. Run a system restore. To apply this fix you will need to have a bootable USB stick with Windows 10 installation files stored in it. Boot from the USB and run a system restore or recovery as shown in the video. 3. Using the Bootrec utility tool provided by Microsoft for troubleshooting and potentially fixing errors that are preventing your computer from booting up. How To BYPASS BIOS/CMOS Password On Laptops And Install Windows (2018)

06:20
In this tutorial, I demonstrate a simple trick you can use to bypass a BIOS password and install windows on a BIOS locked computer. This is not about how to remove BIOS password from any computer. For most everyday Windows users, you almost never have to do anything with your BIOS until when you want to install or reinstall Windows on your PC, and that is what this tutorial is about. So if you have a computer that the BIOS is password protected and you want to install or reinstall Windows through a USB device but can’t get across to change the boot order to boot from the USB, then this could be the solution for you. How To Fix Bootrec /fixboot Access is Denied During Fix Boot Configuration (2 Fixes - 2018)

09:30
In this video, I will be showing you two possible ways to fix the problem of “Access is Denied” when you try to run the bootrec /fixboot command in Windows. This command is normally used to fix a number of startup problems like “Windows Failed to Start A Recent Hardware or Software Change Might Be The Cause”, blue screen of death that says “Your PC Ran Into a Problem and Needs to Restart”, black screen on startup, missing boot device, et cetera. The bootrec command rebuilds the Boot Configuration Data file, that’s the BCD, in cases where the file is missing, corrupted, or isn't properly configured. 1. The first method is to recreate the EFI directory structure and reconfigure the boot files using BCDBoot command. 2. The second fix is to configure your USB with the 1703 build in order to run your bootrec commands without errors. (This process will not downgrade your Windows from 1803 to 1703, it only provides you the command line terminal from the 1703 build from where you can run the bootrec commands without error). In this tutorial, I demonstrate how you can significantly improve your RAM Speed in Windows 10, 8, or 7 by using virtual memory. This of course implies improving the speed and performance of your computer as well. A typical use case is when you’re running on say 2 GB of RAM and an SSD, then using a virtual memory to supplement your RAM would lead to some performance improvement when running several programs at the same time. How to Disable Driver Signature Verification in Windows 10, 8.1, 8 (2018)

03:11
In this tutorial demonstrate how you can disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 10. The Driver Signature Enforcement is a protective measure designed by Microsoft to prevent malwares that are designed in the form of drivers from being installed to your Windows. This protective measure could sometimes become a problem when using some legitimate software or hardware tools and you’re unable to load the necessary drivers. Windows detect such drivers as unsigned drivers and gives out error messages like a digitally signed driver is required or windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device or some other driver error. This video shows hoe you can turn off this Driver Signature Enforcement and have your drivers installed in Windows 10. Go to your Windows settings and click on update and security. Select recovery, and then under advanced startup, click on restart now and wait for Windows to restart. Upon restart click on troubleshoot. Then advanced options. On the advanced options page, click on startup settings. There it says restart to change Windows options and gives a list of possible options you can change by restarting. Down the list you can see where it says, disable driver signature enforcement. Click on restart again and wait for windows to restart. Upon restarting you should see a page with your startup settings options. Here it says press a number to choose from the options below. From this list we see that the 7th option says disable driver signature enforcement. By pressing the number 7 or F7 on your keyboard, your PC will restart once again, and after restarting, the Driver Signature Enforcement will automatically be disabled. How to Dual-Boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu (Install Ubuntu Alongside Windows) [2018]

16:34
In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating how to install and run Ubuntu alongside any version of Windows you might have already running on your computer, be it Windows 7, 8, or 10. This approach would work for any release of Ubuntu you want to install. Here I use Ubuntu 18.04 which is the latest release at the time of making this video. I use Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and without changing any settings or loosing any files I will be installing Ubuntu alongside my Windows so that each time I power on my laptop I can decide which of the two operating systems I want to run, this is technically called dual booting, so I will be dual booting my Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04. For this process, you need a USB stick, the size depends on the Ubuntu release you’re installing but I will recommend an 8 gigabyte to ensure you have more than enough capacity. Remember to remove all files you may have on the USB stick because your USB stick will be formatted during this process. Next you need to download the iso file for the Ubuntu distribution you want to install. If you would want to download the latest release as at the time you’re watching this video, click on this link: https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop? Or go to google search and type “Download Ubuntu” and click on the first result from ubuntu.com If you want to install some other Ubuntu distribution other than the latest one at the time you’re watching this video, or you want a 32-bit version of a particular release, then simply add the release number to your search term in google. The latest Ubuntu with a 32-bit version at the time of making this video is the Ubuntu 17.10.1: http://releases.ubuntu.com/17.10/ Next you need to download Rufus: https://rufus.akeo.ie/ Rufus is a software that would copy your Ubuntu iso file to the USB and also configure the USB to be bootable. Before running Rufus, insert the USB stick you will be using to your computer, then double click on the Rufus installation file you downloaded, and follow the steps in the video to configure. After configuring your USB with Ubuntu installation files, restart your computer and choose to boot from the USB and proceed with the installation as shown in the video. (How to boot into your BIOS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skn7E2BT34E ) After the installation, you should see a pop up saying installation complete, just click on restart and then remove your USB stick to avoid booting from the USB again. With that you’ve successfully installed Ubuntu alongside your Windows. From now each time you boot up, you should see a Grub bootloader asking which operating system you want to bootup, then select with your arrow keys and hit enter to boot into the selected operating system. How To Boot Into Safe Mode On Windows 10 (5 Ways) 2018

11:33
In this video, I demonstrate 5 different ways to boot to safe mode in Windows 10 depending on the condition of your computer and the nature of the problem you’re trying to resolve. Sometimes certain issues may prevent some of these approaches from working, so you might have to check and see which approach is suitable for the condition of your computer. The 4th and 5th methods are for situations when you can’t reach your desktop, due to black screen, blue screen, infinite boot, bootloop, e.t.c Usually the need for safe mode arises when your computer is malfunctioning due to some malware or faulty drivers or even some applications you may have installed on your PC. 1. The first method is to use the Windows system configuration tool. 2. The second method would be to use the Shift and Restart combination. 3. The third approach would be to go through your settings page. The next two methods are for situations where you are unable to access your desktop. 4. For the forth approach, you will need to interrupt normal boot process three times in order to force your computer to go into automatic repair. In this mode, it will try to repair your computer automatically, but usually it will bring you to the page where it gives you the option of either restarting or choosing advanced options, select advance options and follow the instructions to boot your computer into safe mode. 5. The final method for this tutorial would be to use a Windows 10 installation drive. Attach your Windows 10 USB stick and boot from the USB. On this initial set-up page select Windows 10 64-bit or 32-bits depending on your platform. Select repair your computer, then follow the instructions to open command prompt, then type the command “bcdedit /set {default} safeboot minimal”. Then type exit to close the command prompt, then select continue to Windows 10 to boot to safe mode. Windows 10 Fall Creators Update [1709: How to Upgrade]

08:52
In this video I show a step by step guide on how to upgrade to windows 10 Fall creators update so as to benefit from the new features of windows. I begin by showing you how to backup your whole system to prepare for this upgrade. There are two possible ways to install these update, one way is to run your normal windows update, the second is to use the Microsoft media creation tool. Please note that if you’re still running Windows 7 or windows 8.1, and you wish to upgrade to windows 10, then following the steps I showed in this video https://goo.gl/51sUA7 will upgrade you to windows 10 and automatically install the fall creators update, so you don’t need to do it as a separate process. If you’re already running windows 10, and you wish to upgrade using check for update tool, you can go to your search and type “Check for Update” then click on check for update on the window that follows, your update will download and you can install afterwards. In many cases this procedure wouldn’t get you the fall creators update, so you may need to use the second method which is the media creation tool. To download the media creation tool, go to your browser and search “Download Windows 10 Disk Image”, click on the first result from Microsoft, then it will take you to the download page, click on “Update now” and your media creation tool should download pretty fast. Then launch the creation tool by double-clicking and follow the instructions accordingly to download and install the fall creators update. Now if you’re wondering if you already have the fall creators update or not, this is how to verify: Open your file explorer, click on this PC, then from the computer menu, click system properties, under windows specification it should have a version number 1709. If you want you can go ahead and delete the previous version of windows, this is completely optional as windows will do that automatically after 10 days, but if you already want to free your space, go to your search and type settings, then from your windows settings go to system, storage, change how we free up space, then on this window you can choose delete previous versions of windows 10, and click on clear now to complete the process. Also if for some reason you're not okay with the update, you can use the go back to a previous version of windows 10 to revert back to your previous version of windows. To do that you go to your search and type go back to previous version of windows, then click on the corresponding search result and follow the instructions accordingly. Hope this video helps you, please give it a thumbs up if it does and share with anyone who you think might find it useful as well, don’t forget to subscribe to my channel https://goo.gl/dDSBNL and hit the bell button for updates on future videos. This video is a step-by-step guide on how to quickly format any storage device (e.g. USB sticks, flash memories, external hard drives, SSDs, micro SDs, e.t.c) in windows 10. This is accomplished using the following steps as demonstrated in the video: 1. From your windows search, type “diskpart”. 2. Click on the diskpart command from the search result to open the diskpart command terminal. 3. On the diskpart prompt, type “list disk”, this shows a list of all the disks on your computer including the C drive usually disk 0. 4. Then attach the USB device you wish to format, wait for the computer to recognize the device, then run the “list disk command again”. 5. Now you can see an additional disk showing a capacity that is approximately or exactly the same at the disk you attached, note the corresponding disk number on the left. 6. Type “select disk #”, replace # with the disk number of the disk you intend to format. When you click enter, it should say “disk # is now the selected disk”. 7. Type “Clean” and click enter. 8. Wait for the message “DiskPart succeeded in cleaning the disk”. Close the terminal. 9. From your windows search, type “create and format hard disk partitions”. Click on the corresponding result from your search, it should open up the disk management tool. 10. Scroll down to the corresponding disk number, it should have a label “unallocated”. 11. Right-click and select “New Simple Volume”. It takes you to the new simple volume wizard. 12. Leave all the settings as they are and click “Next, Next, …, Finish”. 13. Wait for the label to change to “Healthy (Primary Partition)”. 14. Your disk is fully formatted.

How To Fix Damaged or Corrupted SD Cards/USB/Hard Drive in Windows 10/8.1/8/7 (3 Easy Ways - 2018)

11:38
In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating 3 possible ways to fix a corrupted SD Card, USB stick, external hard drive or some other storage devices you use on your PC, mobile phones or tablets. These three methods correspond to three of the most common scenarios of this issue. However, these signs could also mean that your SD Card or USB stick has some other major problems that might require replacing such SD card or USB stick. But before you settle for a new storage drive, I recommend you try the three fixes I will be demonstrating in this video to see if any can solve the problem. The first method will enable you to recover your files if you have some files you want to recover from the storage device, while the second and third methods will remove all files and partitions in the corrupt volumes, clean up the device, and get it ready for use again. Windows 10 Black Screen With Cursor [Solved] (2018)

11:52
In this video, I showed two possible ways to fix the problem of black screen of death (BSoD) with mouse pointer (cursor) during start up in Windows 10. This problem is common for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system, either Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education. And could affect any PC brands like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung. In this situation, when you power up your PC, it loads up as usual until it gets to the point where you’re suppose to see your desktop, but instead of that it shows you an entire black screen with only your mouse pointer showing on the screen as you can see on this laptop. The most common cause is your user shell being corrupted either by some malware, applications, or system updates. 1. The first method is more suitable if you suspect that this problem could be due to certain malware changing the value data of your user shell, so to fix that you need to manually correct the value data of your user shell. To do that, while on the black screen press the keyboard combination, “Ctrl+Alt+Delete” at the same time, it should take you to a blue screen with different options, there select task manager from the list. In the task manager, click on the file menu and select run new task. You should see a dialog box, type in “regedit”, and then click on the check box below where it says “create this task with administrative privileges”, and then hit ok. You should then see your registry editor page pop up. There you want to double-click on the folder “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”, double-click on SOFTWARE, Microsoft, Windows NT, CurrentVersion, Winlogon. Here is a path address to the folder where your shell is located [Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] At this point you should have some files on the right side of the screen, there check for the file named shell and double-click on it. You should have a dialog box pop up. In the field under the value data, you want to ensure it says explorer.exe, if not then delete whatever you currently have in this field and type in explorer.exe. Then click ok to save the change and close the registry editor. Again press the keyboard combination, “Ctrl+Alt+Delete” at the same time, it should bring you back to this blue screen and on the bottom right corner you should see the power icon, click on it and select restart to reboot your computer. 2. This second method is more suitable if you suspect that your black screen error could be as a result of a Windows update you recently installed or some applications that you’ve installed and that you think might be causing this problem. Here we will be using the troubleshooting tool from advanced startup option to either revert back to the previous version of windows or boot to safe mode and uninstall the application that could be causing this error. To do this, while on the black screen press the keyboard combination, “Ctrl+Alt+Delete” at the same time, it should bring you to this blue screen where you have these different options, press and hold down the shift key and then select restart from the power options at the bottom right-corner, keep holding the shift key until you see the advanced startup option page. There select troubleshoot, then advanced options. If this black screen error occurred after you installed some major updates, say you upgraded from Windows 10 build 1709 to build 1803, then you can select the option that says go back to the previous version, and then follow the instructions to revert to your previous build. But if you suspect that this could be coming from an application you recently installed then you want to boot to safe mode and then uninstall or modify the application from there. To do that you want to click on startup settings. Then on the page that follows, click on restart. On the page that follows, press F4 or the number 4 on your keyboard and then wait for your computer to boot into safe mode. From here you can go to the Windows search and type, “add or remove programs”, and click on it, there you should see a list of all the programs you have currently installed on your computer. Then check for the program you suspect might be causing the problem, click on it and select uninstall to remove it.
